Each Sunday, Specks Bar and Grill offers a free jam night. Specks is a great place for college students who enjoy live music to mingle. The bar is close to campus, located off of 21st and Gage, and always free of cover. Specks includes an outside stage and and a patio. Music usually starts at around 9 p.m. and the crowd is always encouraging anyone who would like to sing or play themselves to join in. Although most would turn their nose up at the sight of the place, the people and environment make it a welcoming and enjoyable time. Specks also provides student discounts with a Washburn ID.

ReplyDeleteSome of the best places for dancing are in Lawrence. I know that the Quinton's there has a top level just for dancing. Well worth checking out.
